Thursday, November 6, 2025 is the deadline for CurlESP Teams to register online with CurlMB.
Please note that that Curl ESP moved from the East Region to the Winnipeg Region at the end of the 2024-25 curling season.
The selection process for our women’s and men’s teams who might be interested in competing in the Seagram’s Whisky Curling Club Winnipeg Regional Qualifiers is as follows:
- CurlESP will send up to TWO women’s and TWO men’s teams and cover the entry fee for each team.
- Any player, regardless of age or the league they play in or method of delivery (regular or stick), is eligible to enter and the team can be made up of any four curlers as long as all team members are: (1) affiliated members of Curl Manitoba, (2) registered members of CurlESP for the 2025-26 season, (3) have each paid at least ONE full CurlESP league fee registration for the 2025-26 season, and (4) have and will be playing regularly in a CurlESP league for the entire 2025-26 season.
- Any team interested in competing must submit their name and list of players at least four weeks prior to the regionals (i.e. by October 20, 2025).
- If an expressed interest is received from more than TWO women’s and/or TWO men’s teams, CurlESP will hold a mini-bonspiel/play-off to determine which teams will qualify to represent CurlESP in the regional play-downs; the mini-bonspiel must be completed by November 4, 2025 in order to meet the Nov 6th registration deadline.
Important Dates:
- October 20, 2025: Deadline for Curl ESP Teams to submit their list of players to the CurlESP Board.
- TBD but no later than Nov 4, 2025: A Mini-bonspiel will be required if we receive submissions from more than two women’s teams &/or two men’s teams.
- 4:30 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025: Deadline for individual teams to register online with CurlMB.
- November 20 to 23, 2025: Seagram's Whisky Curling Club Men's and Women's Winnipeg Regional Qualifiers to be played at the St. Vital Curling Club.
- March 26 to 29, 2026: Seagram's Whisky Club Provincials in Beausejour for teams who earn a berth spot at the Regional Qualifiers.
