CurlESP was pleased to recognize Gary Rebeck as our 2026 Honorary Life Member during the Club Champs closing ceremonies on March 27, 2026.

The criteria that each nominee for the Honorary Life Member status is evaluated against includes:
- Outstanding Service – to the club over an extended period of time.
- Advancement of the Sport – through this or her activities, promotion of the game or support of the organization’s goals.
- Unselfish Dedication – through his or her volunteerism.

- Active club member for a minimum of 25 years.
Gary Rebeck:
- Was a young lad of 17 years in 1958.
- Started his curling career in the 1958-59 season at the East St Paul Curling Club and the club has been a part of his life ever since. In his words, “There haven’t been too many weeks during the curling season when I haven’t walked through those doors.”
- Was one of the original $100 debenture holders (Equivalent to over $1100 in today’s dollars).
- Was a member of the organizing committee for the Club’s 50th anniversary celebration in August 2007.
- Served on the Board of Directors of this club for ~ 8 years and was Club President from 2008 to 2009.
- Has volunteered at so many events at the East St Paul Curling Club over the years that the list is simply too long to mention.
- Has curled in the following leagues at CurlESP over the years:
- Tuesday & Thursday Men’s
- Tuesday and Thursday Masters
- Wednesday Mixed
- Friday Mixed
- Currently curls in the Monday Stick League with his playing partner and wife, Mary Rebeck.
- And just like the curling club, Gary has completed his 68thyear of curling at the East St. Paul Curling Club.
Gary is also in his 30th year as a member of the East St Paul Lions Club. The curling club was very supportive of charities that he was involved with and the Board was very generous in donating the use of the club. He is very proud of the partnership that he helped form between the ESP Lions Club and ESP Curling Club. The best part of the partnership was getting to work with so many dedicated people from the curling club, the friendships that were made and the fun that they had.
Thank you Gary for 68 years of dedication to the East St Paul's curing community.
